One of three professors selected by the Leadership Board to serve as a Faculty Fellow for the 2014-2017 term. The award includes an annual stipend of $5,000 to spend toward creative activity and research projects.

Alabama State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship (2014-2015)
The Mission of the Alabama State Council on the Arts is to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality for all Alabamians by providing support for the state’s diverse and rich artistic resources. I was awarded a $5,000 artist fellowship to spend toward creative research and professional teaching development.

Intriguing Person

Nominated by student Charlotte Olson for the Dean to attend my choreography class. Charlotte won $100 and I received $200 in research and teaching funds.
